Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was re-elected with 87.1% of the vote on Sunday, the Central Election Commission said on Monday, citing preliminary results.
Uzbekistan has passed a package of constitutional amendments in a referendum, allowing President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to run for two more seven-year terms when his current one ends in 2026.
