Firefighters in Cyprus were battling on Wednesday to contain a huge wildfire forcing the evacuation of at least four villages on the first day of a heatwave which sent temperatures soaring.
The European Commission is suing EU member states Spain, Cyprus, Poland, and Portugal for failing to implement global minimum level tax rules for multinational companies, it said on Thursday.
