India in Birmingham inaugurates exhibition on Subhas Chandra Bose

India's Consulate in Birmingham organized an exhibition on the Life and Legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to mark his 125th birth anniversary.

The exhibition that showcased the journey and struggle of Netaji was a reflection of his ideas and beliefs in contemporary times. It was inaugurated on Republic Day at the Chancery premises.

Consul General Dr. Shashank Vikram and Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands John Crabtree inaugurated the exhibition.

Earlier, Dr. Vikram hoisted the National Flag to celebrate Indian Republic Day.

Among the dignitaries present were M.D. Alimuzzaman, Mayor of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin. Guestlist also included former Chief of Staff Amrik Jhawar and erstwhile Lord Lieutenant Paul Sabapath.

Leading South Asian dancer and Kuchipudi expert Arunima Kumar was notable among the performers at the event.
