Indian Embassy in Lagos celebrates Republic Day

The Indian Embassy in Lagos celebrated the 73rd Indian Republic Day in Lagos by bringing two cultures together.

The local artists of Nigeria performed Indian dance, and the Indian Embassy distributed bilingual calendars to the guests.

Deputy High Commissioner Rachit Rawat hoisted the National Flag and read out President Ram Nath Kovind's speech which talks about the diversity and vibrancy of India.

President of the Indian Cultural Association Sanjay Jain said that it is not just the cultural front that showcases its beauty. "Such gestures by the Nigerian community are highly appreciated and have always propagated bilateral relations," he said.

Various companies in Nigeria showcased their products at the event.

The Embassy also had set up a free health check-up camp and planned to conduct an exhibition highlighting the beauty of India.
