Indian Embassy in Astana celebrates Republic Day

Celebrating India's 74th Republic Day, the Indian Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan, hosted a joyous event on Jan. 26. The festivities began at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center and were capped off with an impressive reception.

Earlier in the day, the Indian Ambassador Shubhdarshini Tripathi paid tribute to the nation by proudly hoisting the national flag.

Ambassador Tripathi released a commemorative book to mark 2022's happenings at the Embassy. Entitled 'Varshik Darpan,' this photo compilation lays out an insightful account of India-Kazakhstan relations and all their events throughout 2022.

The celebration concluded with a grand reception attended by over 300 people, including the highly esteemed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Kazakhstan — Kanat Tumysh. It was an auspicious occasion that brought together different foreign entities for this momentous event.
