The Book, written by renowned Greek artist Konstantinos Kalaitzis, covers the aesthetic nature of Indian classical and folk music, Indian traditional musical instruments, and various forms of India's classical and folk dances.
Ambassador Amrit Lugun handed over the first copy of the Book to Themistoklis Demiris, Secretary-General of Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who was the 'Guest of Honour' at the Indian Independence Day celebrations in Athens.
"The book results from years of research and travel to various places in India," said Kalaitzis. Later, he and his group rendered classical songs and music of India through flute and sitar.
