Ambassador Vinay Kumar ushered in Indian pride on Jan. 26 as he hosted the Indian Republic Day celebrations at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Baku.
The special day was celebrated enthusiastically, marking India's transition into a sovereign republic over seven decades ago.
Fakhraddin Gurbanov, an esteemed diplomat and Acting Head of Azerbaijan's Asia Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was welcomed to the event as its Chief Guest — a notable gesture underscoring diplomatic ties between countries.
Gurbanov took to Twitter, expressing delight at being a part of the Reception on India's Republic Day and wishing prosperity for its people. "I was delighted to participate at the Reception on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the country's Republic Day, and wish the friendly people of India progress and development," he tweeted.
A scene of jubilation and unity was on display as the Azerbaijani government officials, Members of Parliament, members of diplomatic circles, and Indian expats joined together to celebrate this significant milestone.
The gathering of Azerbaijani and Indian cultures came to life as artists performed traditional Bollywood dances. Melodious tunes vibrated throughout the room, eventually giving way to tantalizing smells from a feast featuring millet dishes created especially for this evening's celebration.
The event was a visual feast! From snapshots of delicious food to picturesque views, attendees captured the beauty and bounty of the occasion. While each photo told its own unique story about what happened on this special evening, one thing is certain - everyone had an unforgettable time!
