Ambassador Manoj Kumar Bharti hails NRIs in Indonesia

Manoj Kumar Bharti, the Indian Ambassador in Jakarta, Indonesia, highlighted the India-Indonesia relations as he celebrated the Indian Republic Day and said that India and Indonesia had been close partners with global implications.

He also said, "Non-Resident Indians and Indigenous Indians have a significant presence in leading positions in Indonesia's various manufacturing and service industries."

Ambassador Bharti called Indonesia a good friend of India and said it would cooperate with the country for the G-20 Bali Summit scheduled to be held in October this year.

The Chief Guest, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Lutfi, Dr. Ahmad Basarah, vice chairman, The People's Consultative Assembly, and Deputy Minister for International Economic Cooperation- G-20 Sherpa Dr. Edi Prio Pambudi were present at the reception.

Vina Fan, a famous Indonesian artist, performed Bollywood songs and Indian cultural dance.
