Among those attending was Sri Lankan Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, the event's chief guest. Other attendees spanned ministers, lawmakers, and top military officials from Sri Lanka. Baglay emphasized the visit as a symbol of the enduring bond shared by the two maritime nations.

During his stay, INS Delhi's Commanding Officer, Capt. Abhishek Kumar honored fallen Indian soldiers at the Indian Peace Keeping Forces memorial and met with the Commander of the Western Naval Area.

The visit of INS Delhi follows the previous visit of the Indian Naval Ship Khanjar to Trincomalee from July 28-31.
