Consul General Kumar Gaurav hosted the Indian Independence Day celebrations at the historic Nikolaevsky Palace in Saint Petersburg.

Cultural performances by the famous Russian singer Elmar Rajsur and the Leela Prem Dance Group were major attractions of the event.

The Committees for External Relations, Culture, Tourism in Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region, Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Saint Petersburg and the Republic of Karelia, Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region, and the Legislative assembly of Saint Petersburg participated in the event.
