The award-winning Chandigarh University bhangra team from India performed in Hamilton, New Zealand, on Aug. 21.

The bhangra performance was part of the Indian Independence Day celebrations in New Zealand.

The High Commission of India organized the event with the support of the Waikato Indian Association, Indian Cultural Society-Waikato, and Waikato Senior Indian Citizens Association.

The Indian Council For Cultural Relations of the Ministry of External Affairs of India sponsored the bhangra team.
