Antigua & Barbuda Lieutenant awarded Indian scholarship

Antigua & Barbuda Defense Forces Lieutenant Aushaun Browne has embarked on a seven-month training program with the Indian Navy in India.

Antigua & Barbuda Defense Forces Lieutenant Aushaun Browne has embarked on a seven-month training program with the Indian Navy in India. 

The training opportunity was made possible through the Indian Technical and Economical Cooperation Program, a fully funded scholarship provided by the Government of India. 

Delegates from Antigua & Barbuda, Guyana, and St. Kitts & Nevis defense forces visit GRSE in Fdeb 2023.

Lt. Browne, a Staff Officer for Administration and Personnel within the ABDF, will attend the Navigation & Direction School at Naval Base Kochi, Keraral, to pursue the Long Navigation Foreign Course for officers from Friendly Foreign countries.

According to a statement issued by the High Commission of India in Georgetown, The Indian government plans to offer several other ITEC scholarships in various fields, including military and technical areas, to enhance skills and capacity building between the two countries.
